Meow!

For about 3 weeks now, Max has been a kitty. I keep hoping he will forget about it, but he never forgets. For instance, yesterday, I went in to wake him up for the day and before he even opened his eyes he let out his best 'meeooww'. I said, "Are you kidding me?" He must have even been a kitty in his dreams! At this point I'm wishing he would turn back into the HULK....hmmm I can't decided which one is more annoying.....but pretty cute too.

Gingerbread Mansion

We decided the title of this post should be 'Gingerbread Mansion' because 'house' just wouldn't do it justice! ....In all reality, this is our first attempt at a gingerbread house so I think we did pretty good. The kids had a blast and I even let them decorate some of it...which can sometimes be hard for me to do. The kids actually had the most fun eating the candy while Trevor and I constructed the house.

Trimming the Tree

Trevor and I put up our Christmas decorations this last weekend. We had the best helper this year. Our goal was to put everything up while the kids were asleep. Max cooperated, but Paige, however, did not. She decided that she was going to be our big helper. She grabbed each ornament and yell, "Here Go!" and hand it to Trevor. At first she was going so fast that Trevor couldn't keep up with her. After a while she got a little slower. It was so cute we had to video tape it....she is so crazy. Now the trick will be keeping her from taking the ornaments off!

Little Maxwell Lee

Last sunday Max cracked his head open. We had just gotten to Trevor's parents house when he went running in to see all his cousins and he tripped over Trevor's size 13 feet:)...needless to say, he fell and slammed his head on the hinge of the bathroom door. It was very tramatic for him. The entire way to the the hospital he was asking if the Dr. would just kiss him better...no bandaids. So that's the first thing he asked the Dr..."would you please kiss it better?" The Dr. got all weird and said, " no..I think your parents can do that." Anyway, he ended up with 2 staples in his noggin...poor kid. We got the staples out yesterday and all is well. Here is a photo of the damage. I have a strange feeling this won't be the last set of stiches/staples that he will have. I think Trevor said that by the time he was his age, he had already had a couple of sets of stiches and some broken bones, so I guess we're doing pretty good. To tell you the truth, I'm suprised he is 3 1/2 and this is the first set!

Soccer!

I saw a sign for soccer registrations for fall and I called the rec center to check on ages. They said 3 years old would be considered pre-K so they let me sign Max up for soccer. Now that the season is over, I can say Max was too young to play soccer. Max was the youngest on his team (by a whole year or 2) but he was the tallest/biggest. I thought he would love soccer because I always loved soccer.I started playing soccer when I was 5 and played all the way to high school. For about 3 years now I have been coaching Max to be NICE, not to take other people's toys, and not to kick or hit anyone. Well, he is finally STARTING to 'get it' and now for soccer we are telling him to STEAL the ball and kick it away from everyone. I think it confused him a bit.

The last couple of months Max has been obsessed with the Incredible Hulk. So at Max's soccer game is he running around pretending to BE the Hulk. The video is pretty funny, but we have since stopped letting him watch the cartoon because it is taking over his life and he is always saying, "DON'T MAKE ME ANGRY...YOU WOULDN'T LIKE ME WHEN I'M ANGRY!"

Fun Times

My sister and I, along with some friends from work, purchased season tickets to The Desert Star Theatre. We went to the first show a couple of weeks ago and boy did we have a blast! We saw a play called Scary Poppins! It was so funny. I would highly recommend going to see any of the plays there. There was even an outhouse that we had to take our picture in...

Andrea in the Outhouse

Here I am reading the paper while in the outhouse

Sarah and MaryAnn holding up the arch!!! Impressive:)

I know....we're nerds. But we had so much fun. It is fun to have a girls day out every once and awhile. And Trevor was so sweet! He watched the kids AND Andrea's kids while we were gone. So he had 4 kids under 4....What a good daddy and uncle!

Halloween

I know...I'm almost a week late posting my Halloween pictures, I'm slow. A couple of months ago Max was loving pirates so I bought him a cute Pirate costume. He wore it for the family Halloween party, but then decided he wanted to be the Frankenstein that he dressed up as 2 years ago:

So Here's what he was on Halloween night: We took the kids to the Zoo for their trick-or-treat day and it was crazy! There were hundreds of people there. Max had to stop every kid that was dressed as the Incredible Hulk and let him know how cool he thought the costume was. It was pretty funny.

Paige dressed up like Minney Mouse. She was adorable. She loves anything with Minnie or Mickey so she thought it was pretty funny when I first put the Minnie ears on her:)

So that just leaves me and Trevor. I bought us this funny costume and it was like pulling teeth to get Trevor to wear it. He was Bacon and I was Eggs! I thought it was funny and easy, but Trevor gets embarrassed about EVERYTHING. In fact, he is probably going to be embarrassed about me writing this...so don't tell him! So I don't even have a picture of us wearing our costume....Trevor will glad about that.

Suprise!

Six years ago on October 17 Trevor and I got married. We decided last year that we should switch off every year planning something to do for our anniversary. So this year was his year. I have been reminding him for probably 6 months to make sure that he didn't forget. The weekend of our anniversary I had thursday and friday off of work for UEA weekend. On Wednesday night I got home from work and he had all of bags packed and ready to go! He took me up to Park City to do some shopping and then we stayed in our Condo in Midway. I absolutely LOVE midway! It was so beautiful up there because all of the leaves were changing colors. And we even spotted a deer right in the back yard of the condo.

The fun did not end there! Friday morning we drove to Thanksgiving Point and rented segways to ride around the garden area. My brother rode segways for his birthday and I have wanted to ride them ever since. It was so much fun. The gardens at Thanksgiving Point are absolutely beautiful. And they even have the largest Man-made waterfall in the western hemisphere. It was so cool. The gardens are huge (fifty-five acres) so I'm glad that we rented the segways and didn't have to walk the whole way! At first the segways are a little scary, but with a little training, they are a blast. I wish I had one to ride everyday! They can go up to 12 miles per hour! I think Trevor was nervous that I was going to crash and burn at first, but I showed him what's up:)

After that, we drove home and picked up the kids and took them up to Bear Lake where we stayed the night. We had tons of fun. We picked up a Papa Murphy's Pizza and took the kids swimming. It was great!

What an awesome hubby I have....he planned all that all by himself. He really is a great person and an even better dad. I sometimes take him for granted and all that he does. Love ya babe!

Happy Anniversary!

Tagged! Twice! I feel so violated!

My sister-in-law Jaime and my good friend Sarah both have 'tagged'me. This is my first time being Tagged so be kind:)

I'll start with Jaime's tag......

Ok...so now I guess I share 7 random and/or weird facts about myself.

  • #1- I once had a teeny tiny freckle on the tip of my nose. When I got pregnant it grew and grew until it looked like a witch's wart! Don't worry, it has since been removed.

  • #2- I love when food places play peel-n-win games. For example, Subway was playing Scrabble a couple of months ago. And McDonald's is currently playing Monopoly. It's so fun to peel and see what you get. Most of the time I get nothing...but for some reason I still love it.

  • #3- I love Pineapple! When growing up, every year for Easter/Christmas I would get a pineapple in my basket/stocking. It's my favorite food ever!

  • #4- I have to scrub dishes clean before I put them in the dishwasher....my husband calls me the "dish natzi"...but I blame it on my mom:)

  • #5- I love to play board games or cards. My most favorite game right now is "settlers of Catan".

  • #6- I always have to have my toenails painted. That doesn't mean they always look perfect, because most of the time it's old worn paint, but I think my toe look really wierd with no paint at all on them.

  • #7- When I was in Hawaii I snorkeled with a SHARK! Okay, it was just a black tip reef shark, but still...it was 5 or 6 feet long and looked just like a great white!

  1. Okay...so there you have it. There are 7 amazing facts about me! So now I am supposed to Tag people...here it goes: I choose to tag Andrea, Sarah, Kennybum,..hmmm I guess that is everyone I know that has a blog that isn't already tagged so I will just do three I guess.

Now for Sarah's Tag: The tag says that I am supposed to go to my 6th picture folder and post the 6th picture.

I'm so glad that this is the picture that I got to put! This is a picture of me, Trevor, my brother...Kennybum, and Ken's friend Darcy. In this picture we are riding a Space Mountain at Disneyland in Paris. Boy did we have a blast. If you ever get the chance to go to Euro Disney...TAKE IT!

He's the Man!

Because I am new at the blogging thing, I have a post that I should have posted during the summer, but I didn't have a blog back then ...so here it is:
A couple of sis-in-laws were running the the 5K this summer for South Weber Days and I, (being the pushy wife I am), signed Trevor up to run too! He agreed as long as I bought him some new running shoes...so the night before the race we bought him some new SWEET shoes! I know...buying new shoes the day before the race is not a good idea, but you should have seen his old ones....

I am so proud of him. He didn't even train or practice at all! He does play basketball regularly so he is somewhat in shape. Here is a video of Trevor and Jaime crossing the finish line. Yeah!!

My goal next year is to be able to run it with him:)

So Behind

I feel so behind on my blogging. I have so much to blog about all in one...so here we go.

Every year we try to make it to the pumpkin patch. We made it early this year and the kids loved it. They played on the toys and then we rode the hayride to the pumpkin field where we all got to pick out a pumpkin and take it home. The only bad part was I wore my flipflops and my feet got covered in sticker weeds.

Another fun thing we did was go to the circus! I love the circus. We had a blast. Paige got a little restless toward the end, but Maxwell couldn't control his excitement. He waited the whole show for the tigers to come out. When it was finally time for the tigers to perform, Max stood up and said, " I'm going down there...I'll be back mom." He's a nut.

Ok....one last thing on my list of 'items to blog about'. ....For a couple of weeks now, Trevor has been telling me that he has a suprise for me and the kids. He keeps telling me that the suprise isn't ready yet, but that it should be soon. So....finally on friday night Trevor said, "The Suprise is Ready!" I was so excited. I love suprises, but it drives me crazy becuase I just can't WAIT! So he drove us to a house in Layton and sitting on the front porch is one of his friends that he works with. Sitting next to her...there is a box with little blanket over it......and I knew it! He got us a little kitty!!! Trevor had the little kitty picked out for a couple of weeks and had been checking on him until he was ready to leave his mom. So we got in the car and asked Max what we should name him....he decided on Dr. Banner. For those of you who don't have a child obsessed with The Incredible Hulk, Dr. Banner is the person's name before he turns into the Hulk. Dr. Banner is soooo cute and the kids LOVE him. But I think Dr. Banner loves me the most!

Chuck-E-Cheese

Last weekend we were invited by one of Trevor's friends to Chuck-E-Cheese to celebrate a birthday. We told Max that we had a suprise for him and we didn't tell him where we were going. When we pulled in the parking lot he screamed, "Chuck-E-Cheese!" We couldn't believe that he knew about Chuck-E-Cheese! This is the first time that we had gone there so he must have learned about it from a commercial or something. Weird.

Anyway, I remember Chuck-E-Cheese being a lot more fun when I was a little girl. I used to love the animontronic heads that came to life and sang awesome songs. Well, it is not that fun now. There were WAY too many people there and the only entertainment was arcade games. I guess the kids did have fun. Although in the first picture it looks like Paige is a little frightened by the big mouse. Maybe I'm just old.

Butter to the Rescue!

So...I posted my post about crazy Paige 1 day too early.....The very next day I went into her room and found her sleeping with one leg through the slats on the front of her bed. I thought is was funny at first and proceeded to take a picture. Much to my dismay, when I tried to wake her up, her leg was wedged sooo tight that I couldn't get it out. She started screaming and crying. I felt so awful. I ran to the refridgerator and grabbed a stick of butter. I greased her up really good and I STILL couldn't get her out. I called Trevor and he said, "Well get her out..." Duh...I was trying. So I hung up the phone and greased her up again and then spun her around sideways and I finally got her out. What a crazy girl! Here are some pictures of what her leg looked like after I got her out. She was pretty mad....as you can tell.

Crazy Paige

Paige is so crazy when she sleeps! Since we have changed her crib into a toddler bed she has gotten even crazier. She rolls out of bed and then falls asleep in various places. I have even been putting a body pillow next to her in bed but she pushes it out of the way and rolls right over it. The other day I went in her bedroom and she was nowhere to be found. I ran to get Trevor and we looked all over the place. We finally found her sleeping UNDER her bed!

FUN AT THE PARK

On Saturday we went on a little outing to the Tracy Aviary and to Liberty Park. I have loved Liberty Park since I was a little girl...and I still do! We had such a good time. We packed a lunch and let the kids ride a couple of the rides. Max and Paige both love to ride rides.

On our way home we thought it would be fun to stop by Cummings Chocolates to buy some chocolate-covered strawberries and raspberries. That was until we found out that a dozen strawberries is $25.00!! And a dozen raspberries is $35.00!!! Isn't that crazy? Anyway, we decided to make some ourselves. They were pretty tasty.

Best Friends

Trevor and I always say, "Look how much they love each other!" Maxwell and Paige have so much fun together. They will play in Max's room for hours. We peek in and they are playing so cute together and laughing hysterically at each other.

This morning Max helped Paige into the car while I was getting my things ready to go. I looked out into the car and Paige had climbed over into Max's seat and was laughing so hard. She is such a tease. Max thought it was pretty funny too!I hope they will always be this close and love each other this much.

Lazy Days of Summer I will miss you!

Well...the summer for me is over. I have started back to work. I really love my job, but I had so much fun being home with my kids this summer. My sister and cousin created an activity calendar so we had tons of fun things to do. We went to the zoo, Cherry Hill, the Heber Creeper, Liberty Park, Jungle Jim's Playland, and every tuesday was movie day. Boy I'm going to miss it! But I will always be able to look forward to next summer. I can't wait:) I'll post some pictures of the fun things we did this summer.

It's Official!!!

Well.....I finally have hopped on the blogging wagon. I am so proud of myself. I think blogging will be a great way to create a sort of scrapbook for my family that we can look back on enjoy. So...because this is my first blog I am experimenting and need to learn all the cute things you all know how to do! So please....give me any ideas you have.
